Chaps rally late vs. Lake County

College of DuPage nearly overcame an 18-point deficit in Tuesday night's game against visiting College of Lake County, losing 63-53 in Region 4 women's basketball at PEC Arena.

The Chaps (3-6, 3-4 Region 4) face Elgin on Thursday. Tipoff is 5 p.m.

COD trailed through most of the first half and found itself down 42-24 with 6:24 left in the third quarter.

The Chaps relied on the 3-ball to get back into the game, going on a 25-8 run and got within a point of the lead, 50-49 on Rohde's three with 5:10 left in the game.

Over that 11-minute span, COD scored seven treys including a stretch of six straight.

The Lancers overcame that momentum swing and finished the night outscoring COD 13-4 in the final 2:46.
