College of DuPage took control in the second quarter in Saturday's game at Kishwaukee, scoring 11 straight points as it went on to a 70-59 win over the Kougars in Region 4 women's basketball.
 
The Chaps (7-17, 7-14 Region 4) are on the road this week, playing Tuesday night at Rock Valley College (24-0, 15-0) and Thursday at Milwaukee Area Tech (12-6, 9-2).
 
COD makes its regular-season home finale Feb. 15 against South Suburban.
 
Sophomore Savannah Anderson led the Chaps with 22 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 26 minutes. Sierra Gibson added 13 points with seven assists and four steals, and Sarah Topps contributed 13 points, nine rebounds, four blocks, three assists and a steal.
 
The Chaps trailed 11-9 after one quarter before going on their scoring spree in the second. They led 28-21 at the break.
 
Nala Taylor scored nine points and Megan Martinez and Teegan Roach each scored seven.
