Morton scored two runs in the 10^th inning on a two-run single by Luke Brabham in COD's 7-6 loss in Region 4 baseball Thursday afternoon.
 
Mark Mennecke tied the game at 5 with a solo home run to center in the eighth.
 
The Chaps (3-5 overall) broke the tie in their half of the 10^th. Mennecke led off with a double, reached third on a ground-out and scored on Filip Milatovic's one-out single to left.
 
Mennecke and Quinn Flanagan each drove in two runs, while Matt McBrien, Mennecke and Jake Pauley each had two hits.
 
Starter Aidan Pieniazek went six innings, striking out four, walking three and allowing four hits and three runs (all earned). Reliever Ryan Sigale struck out five in three innings of work.
 
COD next plays Monday at home against McHenry County. First pitch is 2 p.m.
