COD totaled 13 hits against visiting Division II Madison on Wednesday, but fell 11-7 in Region 4 play.
 
The Chaps, now 3-6 overall, is at Oakton at 3 p.m. today and returns home Friday against Moraine Valley. First pitch is 2 p.m.
 

• Leadoff hitter Matt McBrien led COD at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double, a two-run single and another single
• Jack Wade connected on a solo home run in the second, adding a single in the sixth and two runs scored
• Aden Aukland tripled in the second and added an RBI-single in the seventh
• Quinn Flanagan also had two singles with a stolen base
• Filip Milatovic doubled in the seventh
• Trailing 7-3 after five innings, COD struck back with a three-run sixth to pull within a run of the lead
• McBrien capped the sixth with his two-run single
• Madison regained control with a four-run seventh
• COD out-hit the WolfPack, 13-10
• Starter Eddie Scaccia went 2 1/3 innings, striking out one, issuing six walks and giving up five runs
• Reliever Mike Biscan came on in the third and struck out two in his 4 innings
• Michael Tuman struck out two in 1 1/3 innings
• Eddie Munson wrapped up the game for the Chaps with 1 1/3 innings of relief, striking out one and allowing one hit
