A day after taking a doubleheader sweep at the hands of Milwaukee Area TC, the Chaparrals returned to Sark Park for their home-season debut and dealt Morton a doubleheader sweep of its own.
The Chaps, now 4-7 overall, are scheduled to play host to Joliet Junior College on Tuesday (weather permitting) and against Madison College on Friday afternoon.
Both doubleheaders have 3 p.m. starts.
Game 1: Milwaukee Area TC 10, Chaparrals 9 8 innings
Game 2: Milwaukee Area TC 4, Chaparrals 3
- COD rallied in the seventh inning, scoring all three of its runs
- Gloms had a two-run double in the inning
- Lindsey Onnezi had a two-hit game
- Baker, Gloms and Terek each scored a run
Game 1: Chaparrals 11, Morton 7
- COD answered back after trailing 7-2 entering its half of the fourth
- The Chaps took the lead for good with a five-run fifth inning
- Alyssa Elizondo drove in three runs with two hits
- Terek and Baker each had two RBI
- COD totaled 11 hits with Baker connecting on a triple and doubles from Onnezi and Terek
- Terek earned the win, going 4 1/3 innings without allowing a hit with three strikeouts

Game 2: Chaparrals 16, Morton 5 5 innings
- COD responded with a nine-run first after Morton took a 3-0 lead
- Salgado led at the plate, driving in four runs
- Gloms and Onnezi each had three RBI
- Gloms, Collins and Onnezi each had two hits
- Baker and Gloms led at the plate with three runs apiece
- Gloms threw five innings for the win, giving up only four hits and striking out one
