College of DuPage closed the door on the regular season Saturday on Sophomore Day, taking a pair from Sauk Valley and extending its season-best winning streak to 10 games.

The Chaps defeated the Skyhawks 11-1 in six innings, and then came-from-behind in a 7-6 win in the nightcap.

COD (26-16, 23-13 Region 4), which has won 19 of its last 22 games, awaits the Region 4 Tourney pairings with games to begin Thursday.

Game 1: Chaparrals 11, Sauk Valley 1 6 innings
- Vinny Spotofora's two-run homer capped COD's three-run, two-hit first
- Back-to-back RBI singles from Spotofora and Aden Aukland padded COD's lead to 5-1 in the fifth
- The Chaps put away the Skyhawks in the sixth, scoring six runs on three hits
- Michael Morgan's one-out RBI-single scored Spotofora for the walk-off 10-run rule victory
- Spotofora led, going 3-for-4 with four RBI
- Filip Milatovic was 2-for-4 with three RBI
- Mark Mennecke, Milatovic and Aukland each had doubles
- RHP Eddie Scaccia improved to 5-2 overall with eight strikeouts, two walks and scattering five hits, allowing one run (earned)
Game 2: Chaparrals 9, Sauk Valley 8
- Trailing 4-0 entering its half of the first, COD grabbed a 7-6 lead, thanks to its four-run, five-hit fourth inning
- Michael Morgan and A.J. Fulscher each had RBI-singles in the second
- Spotofora's two-out, RBI-double cut SVCC's lead to 4-3 in the third
- Milatovic launched a three-run HR that capped the four-run fourth
- Quinn Flanagan set up Milatovic's launch with an RBI-single
- Tied at 7-7 in the sixth, COD scored two runs on two hits and benefitted from two Sauk Valley errors
- Milatovic tied the game on a single that scored Matt McBrien
- Two batters later, Spotofora put COD with the eventual game-winner on one-out single, scoring Milatovic
- RHP Connor Chapulis earned the win in relief, throwing three innings and striking out three without a walk
- Ryne Willard settled down after giving up a lead-off home run that cut the lead to 9-8
- The left-hander faced just four more hitters and threw a game-ending strikeout
