Top-seed College of DuPage proved worthy of its regular season, taking both games of Friday's Region 4 Tourney doubleheader against No. 2 Harper, winning 2-0 and 20-6 at Sark Park.

The Chaparrals (12-17 overall) won their second straight Region 4 title and are off until May 14 when they play at the Region 13 winner in the North Plains B District Championship.

Region 13 plays its tournament beginning Thursday. Top-seed North Dakota State College of Science (46-9 overall) is the defending NJCAA champion.

The best two-of-three format will decide the representative for the NJCAA Tournament, set for May 22-25 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Game 1: Chaparrals 2, Harper 0
- Freshman Grace Walker twirled a four-hit shutout, striking out four and issuing two walks
- After giving up a walk to begin the game, Walker faced just 14 batters (allowing just one runner to reach base) over her next 4 2/3 innings
- Walker allowed only one Hawk to reach third base
- COD got its two runs in the first with Taylor Gloms (double) and Raena Del Angel's RBI single scoring Taylor Gloms (double) and Del Angel scoring on Danielle Whitman's single
- Cadee Baker singled in the fifth and Olivia Terek doubled in the fifth
Game 2: Chaparrals 20, Harper 6
- Abigail Collins' two-run homer in the fourth capped a six-run, four-hit inning
- Collins led with three hits and two RBI
- Lindsey Onnezi keyed the 15-hit attack with three hits and four RBI
- Cadee Baker doubled twice, had three hit and drove in two runs
- Taylor Gloms totaled three RBI with two hits
- Raena Del Angel drove in three runs
- Taylor Gloms went the distance, striking out two and issuing six walks
