Martinez dials in from 3-point stripe against Olive-Harvey

Sophomore Megan Martinez fired in a career-high seven 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points, but the visiting Chaparrals fell behind early in a 74-51 loss at Olive-Harvey in Region 4 women's basketball Saturday afternoon.
 
The Chaps (7-9, 7-7 Region 4) look to snap their three-game losing streak Tuesday night at Harper (1-13, 1-12). Tip-off is 5 p.m.
 
Olive-Harvey (16-1, 10-0) controlled the game in the second quarter after leading 18-16 through one. The Panthers outscored the Chaps 20-9 in the second and led 38-25 at the break.
 
Madison Dubiel came off the bench and scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Teegan Roach followed with eight points and shared team-high rebound honors (six) with Jaylen Zachary, Madeline Maracich, and Adriana Villanova.
 
Zachary led in assists with four. Martinez and Cailey Salerno each had three steals.
 
Martinez has scored a 3-pointers in 15 of COD's 16 games and has three games of at least five treys.
