College of DuPage left no doubt Saturday afternoon on a wide-swept Sark Field, earning a doubleheader sweep against Sauk Valley, 15-2 and 21-8 in games that were called after five innings.

COD (6-2, 6-2 Region 4) takes on Elgin on Tuesday. First pitch at Sark Park is 3 p.m.

Game 1: Chaparrals 15, Sauk Valley 2 5 innings

• RHP Addison Brandl improved to 5-0, throwing 5 innings and striking out six, walking three and allowing just three hits
• COD totaled 14 hits and earned 12 RBI
• Jalene Sanchez doubled twice and had four hits and four RBI
• Raena Del Angel also doubled twice with three hits and four RBI
• Aliyah Heredia and Ximena Banuelos each went 2-for-2
• Julia Colorato and Banuelos each doubled
• Taylor Gloms had a pair of stolen bases
• COD scored four runs in the second, third and fourth innings after taking a 3-0 lead in the first

Game 2: Chaparrals 21, Sauk Valley 8 5 innings

• Raena Del Angel led the Chaps at the plate, hitting two home runs and going 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored
• Del Angel leads the Chaps in HRs with three
• COD sent 16 batters to the plate in the third, scoring 10 runs on 11 hits
• The Chaps totaled 18 hits and clubbed 17 RBI
• Danielle Whitman and Jenna Maples each doubled
• Maples led in RBI with five
• Cadee Baker, Jalene Sanchez and Maples led with three hits each
• Joining Del Angel with multiple RBI game were: Ximena Banuelos (3), and Baker (2)
