College of DuPage tasted a bit of everything Saturday afternoon in its doubleheader at Moraine Valley, losing the opener 11-0 in five innings and returning the favor in a 17-3 victory in five.
COD (5-11, 5-5 Region 4) returns home Wednesday afternoon when it takes on fellow Region 4 D3 member Waubonsee (4-13, 1-5). First pitch is 2 p.m.

- COD answered back exponentially, scoring eight runs in the first and seven in the second for a 15-0 lead through two
- The Chaps sent 13 batters to the plate in the first, 10 in the second
- The Chaps had only one hit in the first, a two-run single from Jason Sullivan that ended the scoring for the inning
- Sullivan added a two-run homer in the second, scoring Pender, who reached on a one-out, two-run double
- COD totaled nine hits
- Michael Morgan, Pender and Sullivan each had two hits
- Sullivan led with four RBI, while Pender drove in three runs and Morgan tallied two RBI
