COD opened its 2025 season with six games against four opponents over its opening weekend in Tennessee.
Although COD finished with six losses, the Chaps came close with a pair of one-run ballgames against Dyersburg State CC on Monday that included an extra-inning game.
At the USA Baseball Complex in Millington, No. 10 COD opened against Kirkwood CC and Arkansas State University - Mountain Home on Saturday, losing 12-2 and 9-2, respectively.
On Sunday, the Chaps were swept in a doubleheader against Ellsworth CC, 21-9 and 9-1.
Rounding out the trip on Monday with one final seven-inning doubleheader at Dyersburg, COD fell 7-6 on a walk-off before losing on another walk-off in extras in the nightcap, 5-4.
The Chaparrals travel Sunday to nearby South Suburban for a Region 4 doubleheader.
