Freshman Julia Colorato clubbed a two-run home run and Raena Del Angel added a solo shot in the opener, and RHP Alyssa Dubinski threw a complete game in the nightcap as the Chaparrals swept visiting Milwaukee Area TC 13-5 in five innings and 6-4 in Region 4 softball Tuesday at Sark Park.

COD (12-4, 12-4 Region 4) plays at Madison College (14-3, 6-0) on Friday and returns home Sunday against Prairie State (9-6, 6-2).

Chaparrals 13, MATC 5 5 innings

• COD gained control for good with a nine-run second inning that put it ahead 10-1
• In the second, the Chaps sent 14 to the plate, scoring nine runs on five hits
• RHP Addison Brandl earned the victory, striking out six and issuing six walks
• Brandl led the offense with three hits and two RBI
• Colorato's HR brought in Cadee Baker, who doubled
• Del Angel's HR was her team-leading fifth of the season
