Alyssa Dubinski threw a complete game in the nightcap as the Chaparrals swept visiting Milwaukee Area TC 13-5 in five innings and 6-4 in Region 4 softball Tuesday at Sark Park.
COD (12-4, 12-4 Region 4) plays at Madison College (14-3, 6-0) on Friday and returns home Sunday against Prairie State (9-6, 6-2).
Chaparrals 13, MATC 5 5 innings
- COD gained control for good with a nine-run second inning that put it ahead 10-1
- In the second, the Chaps sent 14 to the plate, scoring nine runs on five hits
- RHP Addison Brandl earned the victory, striking out six and issuing six walks
- Brandl led the offense with three hits and two RBI
- Colorato's HR brought in Cadee Baker, who doubled
- Del Angel's HR was her team-leading fifth of the season
- Both Sydney Hurst and Riley O'Neill doubled

- COD took control with a four-run first
- Cadee Baker led off with a double and later scored on Julia Colorato's single
- Riley O'Neill (infield error) and Jenna Maples (single) each earned an RBI in the first
- Baker led with three hits
- O'Neill was the only other Chap with a multi-hit game, earning a double in the fifth
- Ximena Banuelos tripled in the fourth
