AJ Fulscher led COD with a 2-for-4 effort and Anthony Titone had a pair of RBI, but host Oakton took control with a four-run third inning and defeated the Chaps 7-4 in Region 4 play April 25.

The Owls took the regular-season sweep, earlier defeating COD 12-5 on March 21.

Down 2-0, COD answered with two runs in the second. Titone's two-run double tied the game at 2-2.

In the fourth and trailing 6-2, Alex Chaltin's ground ball with the bases loaded scored Michael Morgan, who led off the inning with a hit by pitch. Matt McBrien later scored on a double steal.

COD, which totaled nine hits, had just one extra-base hit.

AJ Burnett went seven innings and took the loss. He struck out two and gave up eight hits, six runs, but just one earned.
