Freshman outfielder Julia Colorato keyed coach Barry Froehle's Chaparrals' in 2025 and she was honored for efforts as an NJCAA All-American for Division III softball.
 
She was named to the first-team honors squad.
 
The Westmont native and Downers Grove South HS alum hit .474 in 40 games and 30 starts for the Chaparrals, who reached the Region 4 finals and finished the season 23-17. She led the team in doubles (17) and in RBI (49) and owned a slugging percentage of .905, ranking ninth in the division. She also hit five home runs.
 
In D3 play, she finished third in triples (nine), seventh in doubles, 18^th in RBI and 29^th in batting average.
 
Colorato was the only athlete from Region 4 to appear on either the first of second team.
