The College of DuPage softball team returned to the Rosemont Dome on Feb. 28 and went 2-0, defeating Harper 17-6 and McHenry County 8-0.
In game one, DuPage scored 10 runs in the first inning to set the tone.
Jenna Maples went 3-for-4 with a triple, while
Julia Colorato drove in four runs.
Juliana Covington and
Olivia Vasak also contributed multiple RBIs as the Chaps finished with 17 runs on the afternoon.
Game two featured another strong all-around performance. Colorato collected three hits, while Covington and Maples added multiple hits each.
Isabella Andrade tossed four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out four. The Chaps stole seven bases, drew six walks, and committed no errors in the 8-0 shutout.
The Chaps will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where they will play their next 10 games from March 5 to March 10.
