The College of DuPage women's basketball program continued Region 4 action at home inside PEC Arena on Thursday, Feb. 5 against the Bryant & Stratton (WI) Bobcats. A one-possession lead after ten minutes would be wiped away down the stretch, as BSC coasted to an 84-53 road victory.
COD traded baskets with BSC early before a go-ahead three-pointer by
Kaisje Pryor ended the first quarter with a 19-16 DuPage advantage.
Lexi Lopez chipped in all ten of her points in the opening frame, while
Jamie Hasemann logged an additional six points in the first.
The Chaps were limited to a seven-point second quarter, highlighted by an
Ayaani Gusman shot from deep, entering the halftime break down 40-26.
Two more Pryor three-pointers were a third-quarter spark, also fueled by three baskets from
Erin Brown.Â
BSC closed out with a 20-point final quarter while COD was held to 13 points in the fourth, including Pryor's fourth make from beyond the arc.
Her 12 points led DuPage, with Brown totaling 11 and Lopez's 10 in support. Gusman and Hasemann each had eight points; Gusman tallied two three-pointers and Hasemann nailed each of her four attempts from the free-throw line.
COD (6-19) picks back up on the road on Saturday, Feb. 7th in Malta against Kishwaukee College. COD has won the last two matchups with the Kougars.
