The College of DuPage baseball team fell to Dyersburg State Community College 8-5 on March 2 in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
The Eagles struck first with a run on a passed ball in the opening inning. DuPage answered in the fourth when Wilson Terrutty delivered a two-run single to give the Chaparrals a 2-1 lead.
Zach Glidewell drew a bases-loaded walk to score a run, and Hudson Williams followed with an RBI single to extend the advantage to 4-2.
Dyersburg State responded late to pull away for the 8-5 final.
Nick Konopiots started on the mound for DuPage, allowing six hits and four runs (three earned) over six innings. He struck out two and walked two.
Terrutty led the Chaps with two RBIs, finishing 1-for-3. Williams, Terrutty, and Matthew Betancourt each recorded a hit as DuPage also turned a double play in the contest.
