The College of DuPage baseball team continued its road trip on Feb. 28, dropping two one-run contests to Southwest Mississippi and Southeastern (Iowa).

In game one, DuPage fell 6-5 after Southwest Mississippi took the lead on a walk in the eighth. The Chaps out-hit the Bears 9-6. Hudson Williams went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and JD Cumbee added two hits.

Game two ended in a 7-6 loss despite another 9-hit effort. Cullen Kleinsasser doubled home a run and Nick Konopiots tripled in three during a four-run third inning. Williams added a solo home run in the fifth.

Konopiots and Kleinsasser each drove in two runs as the Chaps narrowly fell to move to 2-3 on the season.
