The College of DuPage baseball team traveled to Tennessee for a doubleheader on March 17 against Southwest Tennessee Community College, followed by a single game on March 18 versus Columbia State Community College.
In game one against Southwest Tennessee, the Chaps fell in a tight 7–6 contest. DuPage recorded seven hits, led by Andrew Speh, who went 3-for-4 at the plate and launched a solo home run in the first inning. Cullen Kleinsasser drove in three runs with a home run to left field, giving DuPage a 5–3 lead in the top of the third inning.
DuPage bounced back in game two, earning a 10–8 win over the Saluqis. The Chaps tallied 10 hits compared to just six from Southwest Tennessee. Rocco Luciano led the offensive effort, going 3-for-4, while Wilson Terruty added two hits. DuPage jumped out to a 6–1 lead in the top of the third inning and never relinquished control. Kleinsasser continued his strong day with a two-run homer to left, providing key momentum.
Nick Konopiots earned the win for the Chaps, allowing two runs on two hits over four innings while striking out one.
On March 18, DuPage faced Columbia State and fell 15–5 despite outhitting the Chargers 13–12. Kleinsasser remained a bright spot, delivering a perfect 4-for-4 performance at the plate.
The Chaps return home on March 24 to host Oakton College. The Owls have won the last four meetings between the teams; a streak DuPage will look to snap.
