The College of DuPage baseball team battled South Suburban College on March 8 in Glen Ellyn. Despite out-hitting the Bulldogs, DuPage narrowly fell 4-3 after South Suburban scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning.
Wilson Terrutty led the DuPage offense with four hits, all singles, and two RBIs. Devin Kraft added two hits for the Chaparrals, while Cullen Kleinsasser drove in the other DuPage run.
Porter Olson got the start on the mound and recorded two strikeouts. Carson Miller pitched three innings in relief and led the Chaps with four strikeouts.
DuPage is scheduled to host a doubleheader against Kennedy-King College on March 13. First pitch for game one is set for 12 p.m.
