Jason Hyatt played on two national championship golf teams for coach Erich Hauenstein (1997) and Lou Solarte (1998), capped by winning the 1998 NJCAA Division III individual championship. The Naperville native was the 1998 national player of the year, in addition to earning two All-N4C and one All-Region IV honor. Now in his 17th season as the Chaparrals’ head coach, Hyatt has coached six Region IV title teams (2004, 2012-14, 17, 19). Eight of the Chaps’ all-time 19 regional championships have come with Hyatt’s involvement, either as a player or a coach.
