Hall of Fame
Ralph Miller served as director of athletics and the associate dean for 10 years (1992-02) during a record-setting period of COD Athletics. The Chaparrals won 18 national championships under his direction while he led 18 sports and the Physical Education department. He developed college success courses for student-athletes and recognized COD’s student athletes with annual academic awards. He supervised 60 coaches and headed curriculum, wellness programs and recreation. An NJCAA Region 4 Hall of Famer in 2002 and one-time N4C Commissioner, Miller was respected campus-wide for developing and nurturing internal and external relationships that included the Doug Collins and John Paxson Basketball Clinics.
