Hall of Fame
A nine-time N4C volleyball coach of the year, Zimmick’s 1998 and 1999 teams won the school’s first consecutive national championships in any sport. Her teams won four Region 4 titles (1998-99, 00, 03) and placed in two other national championships — fifth in 2000 and fourth in 2003. The Chaps won eight regular-season and tournament titles under her direction and she earned five Region 4 coach of the year honors. A member of the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches and Region 4 Hall of Fames, the Downers Grove resident represented COD on numerous national committees and was instrumental in organizing and hosting the first-ever Division III volleyball national championships held at COD.
